A duck, yes, but I've never seen one like it. is it an albino or a young one and will it change color once it gets older. female or male. so many questions.
So yesterday, when I said we were so busy, Hans and I gone into Newmarket to our big shopping mall to look for a new pair of glasses for him. there're 3 optics stores..one more expensive than the other. he tried on quite a few pairs, but couldn't make up his mind. we left and did some grocery shopping and then I remembered that I had good luck with buying a new pair of sunglasses quite reasonable at a small store in Aurora, 10 minutes drive south of Newmarket. on our way home we decided to stop at Fairy Lake for a bit of a walk and there we saw these ducks. I hadn't taken my camera along...getting so forgetful lately and cursed myself for it. so Hans suggested today we go back there to get some shots.
Great shot, Bruni. It certainly has the shape and body of a female Mallard. It could be that she is leucistic. I've sent a message to my wild life contact for verification. Will let you know as soon as I hear something. Fav!
