What is freezing rain
Freezing rain is the name given to rain that falls when surface temperatures are below freezing. Unlike a mixture of rain and snow, ice pellets (both of which are sometimes called "sleet"), or hail, freezing rain is made entirely of liquid droplets.
here is a picture I took this morning. we had a terrible storm last night and lots of tree branches where down in our area. the township had to come to clear some of the road of debris. our lilac tree is leaning over so heavy with ice that the pine tree next to it is holding up the thin branches. I'll post another picture in album two of the lilac.
This is so beautiful but I can imagine just how heavy it is for tree branches. Great capture, Bruni. Looks so cold there. It is a Spring Day here with no rain in our forecast. FAV
