First one with beautiful fall colors

Every year when I walk my path where I've to walk up a very long steep hill, way on top I come to this particular tree. it's always the first to turn color.

oh, Bruni, this is stunning, looks to be a sugar maple? just stunning. as Frank was saying, there is much discussion as to whether colors here in the N.E. will be good or bad because of the weather. I have heard both sides of the argument. First frost was the other night, We will have to see.
