In 2010 we drove to Chicago to visit my sister and her family. we had a great get together and because it was in October and her Birthday was on the 25th, we all went into town and celebrated both her Birthday and also Oktoberfest together.(unfortunately it was her very last birthday) there were ten of us. there was dancing and singing along and lots of merriment including games played on stage. one was, when the music stopped , whoever was close to the MC would stay and the rest return to their seats. he picked 4 couples. the game was all about yodelling. he started yodelling. then pointed to us individually and we had to continue yodelling. the audience cheered every on and when it was Hans's turn,it went wild. it turned out he won first price by the cheering and hand clapping. he said it was his first time yodelling. the prize was 6 beautiful gold rimmed beer glasses with golden decals, which read Warstein the Queen of Beers.
Husband likes your link, Bruni. He knows a lot of the songs that are mentioned there and he immediatelystarted singing... Ein kleines Oktoberfest in unserem Haus ;-)
