Poor hawk

Once again I've to go to my files to pick a picture for today.
Tomorrow six years ago I posted this picture of a hawk who flew against our glass sliding door and got knocked out. it lay on the deck for the longest time until he lifted his head. we watched it and awhile later it flew away.

Aways scary when they hit the window. A hummingbird hit my window this summer. Thankfully, she flew away. One feels so helpless.

Great capture and nice and close to get this photo. A beautiful bird/hawk. I see them high up on power poles or light poles. Glad this hawk was ok after that. We lost two birds outside to flying into our sliding glass door.
