I took a shot of it the first time I was there, unfortunately it was so sunny, the colours were off.

A lot of sculpters we saw on our first visit has been sold and replaced with new sculptures. I was happy this was was still on display.

A very cool idea for a sculpture. I've never heard of opal stone for sculptures. I have better luck on cloudy days on sculptures of this color.

@janeandcharlie Jane, thank you so much for your reply on this beautiful sculpture. yes, it was too sunny the first time we were there and although my daughter tried to stand cclose to shade it a bit, it was not much use. this time around the sun was in and out and the pic. turned out better. what caught my eye was the intricacies of the sculpture.

I'm not sure I'd spend $11,000 on a sculpture but I know there are some who do. I think I'll just enjoy your picture instead. Nice shot.
