These two potted African violets hang in a wicker basket at the sides of a kitchen cabinet next to the kitchen window.
The flower pot on the north side of the window thrived in the morning sun while the one on the south side was mostly in the shade. it only grew one tiny stem with a double bud on it. I don't know if you can make it out.
I've switched the flowers around and hope the single one will catch up some in the next little while.
Amazing when you think how important the sun is to mankind and to his/her surroundings. We do not know how to appreciate it enough here because we have so much sunshine and very often look for shade.
