Almost done decorating this little tree

Not the best tree we ever had, but happy that we got one. remember the tree farms were almost all sold out or closed for the season (it takes years for a tree to grow before it becomes a Christmas tree.

I googled a Christmas Farm to find out how long it takes for a seedling to become a Christmas tree. here is what I found out:

"Two foot tall trees were transplanted last spring and are 5 years old already. They grew for three years on a seedling bed and then were transplanted into a field for two years before we transplanted them here. These two foot tall trees are eight to ten years away from being Christmas trees."

The one farm we found cut their trees and leaned them against something. you could look at them, but we couldn't go into the farm and pick one we liked, cut it down and buy it as in previous years. the fun of looking at all the trees and deciding which one to to take was missing, but we're just glad to finally have one and making the best of it.
Very pretty!

Great to see a tree with candles, reminds me of special Christmases in Germany, sadly no chance here as we live in a thatched cottage!

@beryl I haven't seen candles on a tree since I was a child either. Probably not too safe to light them these days though.

Sorry dear Bruni.
This was never intended. But force of habit. At 11 pm I check my mail and answer all 365 comments. Sometimes it takes so much time that I don't get around to doing more.
I believe I`ve alway`s replay on you comments. If not, I`m deeply sorry for it. Greetings from the both of us.
