It was a mostly cloudy day yesterday. Hans and I went for a car ride for me to take some pictures and on our way home we passed the ferry which goes to the Indian Reservation on Georgina Island, Lake Simcoe..
Here we have the Aazhaawe Ferry Boat
(Ojibway "to go cross") which takes you and your vehicle on a 15 minute ride across the lake. I believe some Indians live there permanently while other people lease a piece of land to build their cottage.
A few years ago, when Hans was still self employed at the time, he and his partner repaired a cottage and built a deck for a couple and of course had to use the ferry every day.
Do you see the man on top of the ferry guiding the cars or trucks to use either the left or right side to enter.
