We had our first real night frost last night and it almost killed my lovely cyclamen. I had it sitting on a wicker chair in front of my window where I can see it when sitting in front of my RCA TV screen. it was a bit protected by a larger spider plant.
Now to my picture. our maple tree was still pretty full with leaves. but today it's extremely windy and they're (the leaves) just flying of as it there is no tomorrow. no pun intended. but if the wind keeps up, tomorrow or late at night the tree might very well be bare.
Ironic, next week the temperatures are climbing again into the two digits.
I used to hate raking up leaves ion autumn when I lived in the UK. Luckily most of our trees are natives and don't lose their leaves in autumn so we don't have that large influx of fallen leaves all in one go.
