Two Fit Birds

Can you name the two birds for me?

Ok, so I think the one on the right (on the gutter) may be a starling? My son has mentioned that he hears noises at night and this is because the little chap and his bird/bloke are nesting in the roof above his room.

The other one (in the tree) was further away but the shiny breast made me zoom in for a better look. Does anyone know what bird this is please?

Yep, starling on the gutter -- the other is a grackle. They mobbed the bird feeder this winter and wouldn't let the little guys have anything.

Thank you Mary, I have never hear of a Grackle, I will have to look it up.

I think they are both starlings. It's just the one of the left has been captured in the sun showing the lovely colours on his breast whereas the one on the right is closer and you can see the detail in the feathers but the sun isn't shining on him in the same way. Lovely shots though both of them - Fav
