A peacock and a red admiral butterfly found on the allotment. I'm just getting into the world of butterflies and have bought a book so I can identify them when I'm out and about. The red admiral comes under the 'red and black; section, but I would have called it more 'brown and orange'.
We have so few butterflies up here. I tried to photo the wonderful butterflies we saw in Vietnam on Cat Ba Island but they wouldn't stay still long enough so I have a new admiration for all the great pictures I see on 365 of them, including these two!
@rosiekind No it's just a collage using the 'create' key in Picasa. The background is just another picture which I chose to use as a background, and then the other images can be moved around on top.
