First mince pies

A busy day today so no time for going out taking photographs. My first Christmas cards have arrived and I tried out the new batch of mincemeat. Peter has a tennis do tonight and needed some mince pies to take along.

What a cool idea to put stars on top. My moth-in-law (who came from Wales) put a top on each tiny things like a pie. I carry on her tradition but I might try some of these too. Cool pOV.
