One of our main reasons for coming to Cornwall was to visit the Eden Project, so here we are at last. It's difficult to give an overview of the project in one photo, but here you can see one of the indoor biospheres taken from the Wild Cornwall outdoor area. In their own words the Eden project was to 'make a 35-acre global garden in a 50m deep crater that was once a china clay pit to demonstrate regeneration and the art of the possible.' We visited the Rainforest Biome and the Mediterranean Biome showing how plants and structures are used to advantage. Much of their work is about how to manage renewable resources for the good of the planet. Thank you all for your comments and fav's on yesterday's photo which got me onto the PP. I'm always surprised and delighted
Ooh Judith ....flowers & sort of space ship effect! Those big domes at the back make this really futuristic looking! I have never been......looks impressive & the flowers are lovely!
