Adrano by busylady

Adrano

We're home again and I have finally got time to look properly at my holiday pictures of Siciliy. This day we took a train journey on the Circum-Etna tourist train. The countryside was pleasant but not spectacular and the stations were often run down and sad looking. This is the town of Adrano where we stopped our journey and had a little time to explore. This street is typical of how the houses are jumbled together and often in a poor state of repair. Many houses had been abandoned.
What a shame that once elegant houses are left in disrepair ! The all seem to be tall buildings -- 3 or 4 storey high !! Welcome back home !

@happypat You're right Pat we did feel a bit conspicuous. There were no tourists and the place was dead! Lots of litter about too - they're not good at
keeping the streets clean.

They look to be tall buildings and I love all the balconies. A shame that some have been abandoned.
