Autumn in Berlin by busylady

Autumn in Berlin

We've been on a ten day rail tour of European cities. Our first stop was Berlin and if you look closely you can see the Bundestag - the German parliament building - in the background. Originally known as the Reichstag building it was destroyed by fire in 1933 but was not restored until after German reunification in 1990. Sadly we weren't able to take a tour of the newly reconstructed building with it's famous clear dome, designed by Norman Foster.
Lovely autumn colouring seen everywhere here! A rail journey sounds great!
