Our day in London continued with a trip to the Chelsea Physic Garden, lunch in the garden cafe and a most interesting tour. The garden was founded in 1673 by the 'Worshipful Society of Apothecaries for the purpose of training apprentices in the identification and use of medicinal plants'!
PS does anyone have any experience of RSI? (repetitive strain injury) I find I can only use the computer for a couple of minutes before shooting pains start going up my forearm. It also affects piano playing, knitting and my grip is very weak
Funny you should say that Judith, I am beginning to think my sore wrists are RSI & not arthritis as we thought. I have very odd shooting pains up my hand & the pain moves about all the time. My wrist is swollen, am taking paracetamol & ibuprofen to keep it at bay. I am just about to ring my B&B Rheumatologist as he wants an update, will let you know what he thinks. You use your wrists the same as me, making beds today was not good. Beautiful garden!
Such a beautiful display in that border Judith. Sorry to hear of your RSI - I had it years ago (from typing all day long) and the only cure was completely resting the hand. It's so painful - hope you feel better soon.
@happypat I rang him & he says mine doesn't sound like RSI, says there is little swelling with that & it's more doing the same movement over & over again whereas I would have more wear & tear damage. I will have to ring the doctor again.
