I've never been to this festival before even though we live very close. I went with my daughter and we enjoyed a very pleasant day out along with her two young sons.
Love a dragon boat, they are quite dramatic! We saw one at the start of the Ironman completion in Taupo this March. A Maori crewed one with all the pomp of their culture all at 6am in the morning!
