I have finally found time to refinish my Mum's old sewing box. The old varnish has gone and the paintwork renewed, a new lining for the inside and the drawer. I found the finished piece harder to photograph in the sunlight as the inside detail vanished, which explains why they are taken at different times and in different places.
Lovely renovation a Judith. My mum had one just like this....when she died someone must have wanted it but not me as I’m no sewer....I hope it’s in good use. Must ask my sister & sisters in law!
Oh, my goodness Judith, you have made a splendid job of this! It really looks good. Lockdown and life restrictions have some benefits, after all! My mum has one very like this, which came from my granny.
