The postal scale by busylady

The postal scale

This family treasure belonged to Peter's father, although he can't remember it actually being used. We think there should have also been a half ounce weight although there is no place to put it. We think it dates from the 1930's. I'm trying out different sources of light, this one taken close to a window but with the curtains closed, late in the afternoon.
Good things - A sunny but very cold day today, and a walk at the local nature reserve followed by a lively zoom book group meeting.
A lovely family treasure Judith ! Nicely captured here !

The contrast between the background and scales works really well.

How lovely- maybe the 1/2 ounce weight sat inside one of the others?

Your light choice works, not easy lighting a shiny subject.
