Not a posed picture but it shows what I was doing today! A few days ago I posted pictures of some of the contents of the loft. Today I opened the boxes. Inside one of them was the wedding dress from 50years ago along with various other items of clothing - baby dresses, dressing up clothes etc. Of course I had to try on the dress so here I am standing in front of the mirror with my mobile phone and the dress all creased but still white. Before you ask, no I couldn't get the zip up all the way and the sleeves were a bit tight!
3 good things, 1) we have a contact for getting rid of the old books, some from Peter's Grandparents
2) a pile of things ready for the charity shop tomorrow
3) the artificial Christmas tree going to the church
But what to do with the wedding dress? I still have the shoes too!
Wow Judith how wonderful to find your dress in such mint condition. They used to say wrap them in black tissue paper to keep the colour good...it looks to fit perfectly, keep quiet about the zip! Beautiful sleeves!
Not bad! Your dress fits you better than mine would! HaHa! I think we are all spring cleaning as I am going through things as well. Some are so hard to release though never use...
