Family tradition

Since our children were small we have always read How the Grinch stole Christmas on Christmas Eve. We lived in Canada for 7 years so the story became a favourite there. We still have our battered old copy of the book - the well repeated line being 'tomorrow is Christmas, it's practically here!' Our children have now taken on this tradition and now read it to their own children.
So the fire is on, the mulled wine is ready, but there are no children here to read it to - we will just have to read it to each other!
So wonder to keep up with the old traditions ! Love the glow of your fire ! fav

Oh that’s sad Judith….you must all be so disappointed! Never mind there is all the other days in the year, you can have Christmas Day number two in a week or so!
Just looking at your wood burner blazing away! We are in red battery lights!!
