Yes it's a plant, a house plant! It was a surprise birthday present back in March. I've looked up how to care for it and found that it likes humidity, so probably the bathroom and likes to have its well filled up with water once a month. You can't see the well here but it has smooth thick leaves which create a sort of well. It also likes to be misted once a week. I thought that the picture needed editing to give it some impact but couldn't decide what to do - any ideas? Good things today - made a boiled fruit cake this morning and met up with a friend this afternoon at the refill shop for a herbal tea and cake!
A very attractive flower that I haven't seen before. The shot is attractive as it is, but if I were to edit it I would want to lighten the mid tones a bit, and lighten the background to make it almost white.
