Natural History Museum entrance

I had another visit to the wildlife photography exhibition after a mix-up with tickets. This time with two photographer friends. The building which houses the exhibition is so striking and well worth visiting for the beautiful architecture. Designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1863, and opened to visitors in 1881. Many of the decorations and gargoyles are made from terracotta, due to stone carving being expensive and slow.
Beautiful architecture

It's an impressive arch, lets the visitors know they are entering a different World. They took their science seriously, those Victorians.
