Container City and hope for the future.

This may look boring but it's actually a rather attractive part of Christchurch city centre. Soon after the earthquake of 2011 they came up with the idea of using shipping containers to be turned into shops, cafes and banks. The result is a lively and attractive area and it's given hope for the future.

I love this Judith....we saw them on the TV news & thought such a great idea,...very enterprising!! They might even keep them like this....wonder what they were like inside, did you go in?

Some of these buildings made from containers look great - I love Wahaca on the South Bank in London which is all built out of containers. Really colourful and arranged in an interesting shape
