King's Stones Circle by busylady

King's Stones Circle

We visited this fascinating stone circle near Rollright in Oxfordshire. Not quite Stonehenge but well worth a visit. It was used for ceremonial purposes, not as a burial site. From the Neolithic period, about 7,000 years ago.
A fascinating capture. Very interesting.

Beautiful and the light was so important in the placing of these .....
We have some not far away and have visited others in the Northern and Western Isles too.
