Lewiston Grade by byrdlip

Lewiston Grade

From a 6% to 7% grade for six miles, I didn't smoke the brakes. But I did want to see if I could make it to the top of a runaway truck ramp. (taken from the truck weight station)

"". The newer multi-lane grade of U.S. 95, constructed from 1975 to 1977,[9] yields a straighter and steeper sweeping descent to the east, then back to the southwest, and is approximately 7 miles (11 km) in length. Both grades provide excellent views of the Lewiston-Clarkston area and beyond.""
That's at a dizzying height.

Also, I still remember clearly being in a car that almost had to use one of those on Teton Pass. Second most dramatic moment in that road trip.
