Keeping the kids in line

I happened to catch these geese marching towards a lake. If a baby stopped too long or fell behind, the goose in the back would honk ( a lot) and nudge them along.

I once read that newly hatched babies goslings are able to swim immediately. The male and female goose both accompany their babies during their swims.

This picture makes me think maybe Spring is finally here.
