Vanessa, who is 11, always wants to stay up until "the real midnight" on New Year's eve. After we have our "fancy dinner" at home, and sparkling juice later ( bubbly pop - as she calls it). We usually do the 11pm count down and send her off to bed. She is always up super early, on her own. No matter the day of the week, or what time she went to bed.
Well she didn't make it past 10:30pm this year. :)
I had to work New Years day, so I barely made it past midnight myself.

She totally fell asleep on the living room floor. :)
She just went to a slumber party at a friend's house though, and they stayed up until 2am.
Her friends said she was still up at 6 though.
