@amandal Thanks, Amanda! I have spent a lot of time in my yard in the past few days... I think I just need to pull everything up and start over with the plants! But I will keep my view... even in the fog when you can't see very far.
@danette Thanks, Danette. I'm afraid I look a little deeper and see weeds that need to be pulled and that big overgrown blue spruce-like shrub. But overall, it is pretty to look out over the field in the morning.

@jgpittenger Hi Jane!!! Glad you dropped by! My very favorite spot in the Great Smoky Mountains (near Gatlinburg, TN) is Cades Cove! Mountains, wildlife, hiking, biking, horseback riding, log cabins, old mill, cantilever barn, etc... Some of my favorite photographers of the area are:

The Moses H. Cone Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, NC is also very beautiful. I love stopping at the visitor's centers along the Blue Ridge Parkway and seeing their videos of the area. Some day I am going to come to the great northwest and see where you live!!!
@jgpittenger Sad you are having to return so soon... we drove up to the North Carolina line this morning to see the rhododendron in bloom on Roan Mountain... a photographer friend, Richard Siggins, was there by 5 am this morning... he got some awesome photos! I slept until 6:30... hope you will come back this way soon... I would so love to meet you!!!
