Baby Squirrel

Although he doesn’t look it, this squirrel was quite small & was kind of making a mewing sound, so I think it may have been a baby.

I thought it was a bird making the noise, until I saw his mouth and chest inflate/deflate with each ‘squeak.’ I wonder if it was calling for its parents; it certainly seemed frozen in that spot. Great capture of this little ‘tree rat.’
