Well, its's Monday, so that can only mean one thing. The Red Arrows! Stood at the side of Scampton Airfield this morning & they were practicing this opposition pass. Two aircraft hurtle towards each other at about 400 miles an hour, turn and pass each other. Thrilling to watch, even in practice!

Wow this one brought back memories. They did this manoeuvre once when we were in Cyprus and they misjudged the distance. Their wings clipped and one plane crashed but the other recovered the manoeuvre. Both pilots survived as one had to eject before the plane hit the deck but he ended up in Hedley Court rehabilitation centre for a while.
