Brayford Pool by carole_sandford

Brayford Pool

I had to go into the metropolis today. Where I park is right next to Brayford Pool, a quite busy marina. The building on the right, was a car showroom when we first moved here & it has since been grade Ii listed. A definite throwback to the 60s.
The buildings on the other side of the water are part of the university.
Wondering what that is on the left of the photo…..quite big comparing the rest of the images eg cars. Looks a big marina!

@happypat that is a water clock. Quite complex & actually for many years hasn’t worked!

ps. I don't seem to be able to comment on your dahlia shot, there's just no comment box, plus it's only showing 2 comments for me, even though it says there's 21....not sure if there's some kind of glitch maybe?

@leggzy I thought there was too, but if you scroll down past the “white space” the comments are there. Something obviously happened with Joan’s comment.

@carole_sandford thanks for that. I just went & had a look. I do remember scrolling a tad, but obviously not far enough...the next comment is so far down.

Great waterfront shot- looking down from the parking space gives you a nice vantage point. I love the retro building and inoperative water clock!

A shot you take often and one that I never will (unless I walk up that car park as I hate parking there)
