Freight Train

Popped to the supermarket this afternoon & had a brief wait at this crossing. This is on the “back way”, which tends to be the quicker way, unless you have to stop…..

The short cut doesn't always work does it.

Our coal trains from the Hunter Valley to Newcastle can pull over 80 wagons. You can be stuck at a crossing for quite a while as they move so slowly when loaded

I don't mind getting stuck by them. I love seeing where all the cars come from, pull out my camera and get a shot or two like you did- and one time, since I was the only one there, I put the car in park, turned if off and got out and took pictures that way! lol When my youngest sister was little and we got stopped by a train, she would recite, "Train, train, train..." until the whole thing passed by! So, of course, I like this shot! haha
