A wander around the Cathedral Quarter, as the weather wasn't condusive to tramping around the countryside. I liked looking through the ancient to the more modern....

A beautiful shot! You gave me a chuckle when you said "looking at the more modern." That would not be modern in the United States. I love old architecture because it has so much more character. To find that, I have to travel to the eastern U.S....love it! I know I would LOVE England and Europe!
@gardenfolk well, the houses are probably Victorian or a bit earlier, so probably early 1800 or late 1700, compared to Roman that is modern, but compared to now it's not! Lol
I follow a lady on here who puts up a lot of pictures of buildings from the New England area of America & they are fabulous !
@carole_sandford In California there isn't much that is old. And, if a house is 25-30 years old, they want to remodel or tear it down and start over! The homes in New England have so much more charm!
@gardenfolk Carole and I visted the States a few years ago; spent a couple of days in Washington DC. There are old buildings there and certainly lots of your history. Wish we'd been doing this project back then (we took some lovely photographs on that holiday)
@phil_sandford I think you could still share your favorites! People do have filler days or you might want to reminisce. :). We won't hold it against you.
