Poppies
A drive down to Leicestershire today, to the three fields of red visited by Phil last week. These three fields are actually behind my brothers house, so paid him a visit too. Really quite amazing, don't think I've ever seen so many!

thank you Lou Ann, yes I think these are Flanders poppies. They say that seeds can be in the ground for many years before being disturbed & then growing. In the case of Flanders by a war raging . In the case of these fields, they had apparently been ploughed for the first time in quite a few years. I was always told that they grow on broken ground. So it would seem to be correct.
