Alford Windmill by carole_sandford

Alford Windmill

Today didn't quite go as planned! Note to self, check that NT places are open before travelling! We had intended going to Gunby Hall, but when we got there it was closed due to particularly wet ground apparently. So, we called for lunch at Alford Windmill, called into a garden centre at Horncastle & made our way home to spend an industrious couple of hours in the garden!
Beautiful capture of the windmill.

What a lovely surprise for you both in spite of the disappointment over the NT property .

Well honestly I’ve found that checking the internet for hours isn’t always the best. And when I call there’s a recording, you don’t get to speak to a person! It’s so maddening! Sounds like your day turned out just fine, though!

I love seeing photos of all the places you two travel to because then I look them up online and learn more about England. Alford looks like a beautiful and interesting place to visit. :-)
