Another long day at work, so another from our recent trip to Bath. One of the most famous antiquities of Bath & the origin of the name of this beautiful city.
It's a shot the tourism board would love! The architecture really is beautiful. I wonder how they kept the water clean when it was being used for bathing purposes.
Love it. this shot brought back memories. We lived near Bath when our girls were small. Zoe who was age three at the time leaned over to feel how warm the water was in this bath and promptly fell in. She squelched all around Bath for the rest of the day. Luckily it was a warm day so it didn't take her long to dry.
@olivetreeann underneath there is a natural hot spring so able to be constantly replenished. Waste water was drained into the nearby river. I also think that their ideas of cleanliness were maybe not the same as ours & infection control & cross contamination were many years from being discovered.....
I have been there and I can vouch that the place is very beautiful, very historic and very interesting. You got a lovely capture of the pool with some nice reflections in it too.
