This is a building synonymous with Loughborough, my home town. It was built after WW1 to commemorate the men of he town that gave their lives. Construction was completed in 1923 & the tower stands in Queens Park. The gates close at dusk, so this was taken through the railings. It has an “ everlasting light” at the top, but otherwise it was quite dark, so quite pleased with how this came out.
Thank you for your continued comments & favs.
fantastic capture Carole, night time shots of buildings definitely pose a challenge and can be difficult to post process but you've done a good job here. nice composition too
I didn’t know it was built as a memorial to the dead from the war. Every day is a school day
