There is a lot of food available for them at the moment - but now as it is turning colder, they will love to feast on these. I love the rowan tree or Mountain Ash , - so pretty in all seasons .
We got a "free rowan tree" from a green initiative from Nottingham City Council last year. It was only tiny and is doing well but hasn't produced any berries yet. I love the rich reds against the greens.
@phil_howcroft apparently they don’t produce berries until they are about 10 yrs old. @onewing apparently toxic to cats & dogs, but not to humans.
The rowan trees were planted in gardens as protection against witches in times gone by.
