The River Cam was fast flowing and the birds were having difficulty swimming against it,especially the gulls who were just bobbing along backwards.

It's fascinating to watch them lower themselves in the water like this in order to make headway , there's so much power called into play when they do it. You've caught that well here. Love the bow wave and the colours on the water.
