A night at the Opera by caterina

A night at the Opera

We went to Ferrara for a beautiful production of the Handel‘s Esther . The scenography was particularly interesting because it reminded by means of colours and light various paintings. Taking pictures was not easy. The scene was quite dark, I did not have a tripod (could not take it in the theatre nor use it anyway) and had to hide in a corner of the box not to disturb. In addition (we all discovered this at the end) there was a black net in front of the stage to give the sense of oppression and pain felt by the characters
Looks like a paint, great shot

Great shot. Theatrical light is lovely. Netting gives it an ethereal dreamlike quality. Your composition is brilliant as usual. Fav.

Btw - I also like the fact that it seems to be copyrighted by British Petroleum. ;-)

@mbrutus Well I didn't use a watermark, but many of our 365 fellows do, you among others, so I gave it a try, not very successful I understand. Must think it over.

@caterina What makes you think that it was unsuccessful. I actually like it. And from now on, whenever I see it, I shall think of you, my good 365 friend, and not that careless, polluting, global warming conglomerate.
