Mountain rescue

Yesterday I posted the picture of three climbers and some of you 365ers commented that it was a dangerous sport. You were right. Today during a walk we saw an helicopter flying near the wall of the Tofana in the Dolomites. At first we did not see what was happening, but enlarging the photo I finally was able to see the climber attached to the rope. It was Spanish tourist who had a strained ankle. More evident on black
Oh golly whizz, that kind of rescue must take a lot of skill being so close the mountains. Can't say I'd fancy dangling down there either though it'd be better than being stuck up the mountain.

Good grief - that's an amazing shot. How lucky was he that they could helicopter him out!
