Window of a medieval castle

This is one of the windows of Castel Thun a Medieval castle sitting on top of one high hill near Trento, Italy. The castle is surrounded by three circles of walls and it was practically impregnable. You can see here the thickness of the walls
I really like this shot.

Great shot Caterina - you have used the lighting so well - it really shows how thick these walls are!

I am partial to window shots and this one is a fav. Though for my eye, I find myself wondering if I would like it even more if you cropped a little off the right side to make it symmetrical. (Not that every photo must be symmetrical. But in the absence of a clear rational for not being symmetrical, when it is so close to being symmetrical, the eye tends to long for symmetry like an old man for his first lover.)

It occurs to me that the castle could have been that impregnable, since you made it all the way inside to take this photo.

@mbrutus ok! I didn’t crop it perfectly well. Thank you, it will make me more careful in the future. Regarding the castle it is now easily accessible paying an entrance ticket not available to the barbarians trying to enter in medieval times!

Modern barbarians have it so much easier! ;-)
