I didn’t expect this photo to make it to the popular page and I’m very pleased 😀. The movie was about the Bulgarian artist Christo and the construction of a floating pier on Lake Iseo in Norrhern Italy. I admit it wasn’t the most popular of movies. However, even in the case of well publicised films the movie houses are often half empty and many have closed in recent years. I guess it is easier just to download a movie at home on one’s TV set. But the cinema gives an entirely different feeling.
I almost didn't see the person there as I was drawn to the screen and the contrast with the red seats. Good shot! Theaters have gotten smaller here too and films are released for shorter and shorter periods of time because as you said most people seem to prefer down loading them and viewing at home. Going to the movie theater can be an expensive night out in some places.
