A group of young boys were competing in throwing a plastic bottle on the cornice of the theatre. We were there, appalled, and scolded the guys. Only when I took a photo, the one who had thrown the bottle tried, in vain, to recuperate it. His friends, however, complained that I was breaching their right to privacy! Can you believe it? Shameless. By the way the bottle is still there
Very nice street shot. I always marvel that you find so many people to pose willingly for you. But I guess these kids were the exceptions to the rule. I thought no one could be immune to your charms. But here in the States, anyone who is out in public has no presumption of privacy. and is subject to be photographed. I assume its the same there. What did you tell them when they protested?
@jgpittenger@taffy@mbrutus I told them that they didn’t have any right to privacy, being on the public street, but also making themselves responsible of an illegal act. I promised I’d show the pic to the police. Which I didn’t. In addition in the picture none of the boys is recognisable because they were all minors. I just hope they were upset enough to think twice when tempted to do some minor vandalism again. Also I hope they won’t do major vandalism
