@robz no no Rob! We came back to the city from our mountain hideaway because it’s time of tax return! We are fine fortunately, and the virus seems to have lost strength. In our Region (Veneto) there haven’t been new cases for several days. That is why I won’t post landscapes for a while. Thank you very much for worrying for us!
Oh, Caterina -- you are visiting Marco perhaps to help with all his remodeling decisions?? I don't know this stairwell in Bologna. Where is it? This is a super shot and I can't wait to take you to the Rookerie in Chicago for that one as well. FAV
@jyokota This is the staircase of Marco's home. We went to see the beginning of the remodeling and try to help him with the choice of the kitchen furniture. He's in a hurry now, after all these months of lockdown.
@caterina -- then I will get to see this staircase for sure next year! Looking forward to the results of the renovation... he has exquisite taste as you and Pier do with your own renovation so I'm sure it will be a delight to see. Yes, losing so much time does create impatience since he's been waiting so long to "settle" in Bologna.
@caterina -- so funny because when I looked at it the second time I also realized that! But the first time I saw it I was so impressed with the architectural shape I was mesmerized by the lines and didn't look for focus. Do you know the image of the Rookery staircase? I have posted it a few times as have all the Chicago visitors from 365. Taffy first alerted us to this staircase. https://365project.org/tags/rookery
@caterina -- all my work has been canceled through next March -- so Bologna will be my first trip out, and it's at the very end of March and into April, per usual. Cant' wait to see you again!
I do love spiral staircases and this one is wonderful. It does remind me of our Rookery one that Junko mentioned. And also almost like the inside of a seashell.
