Forced at home and not going anywhere, I have taken out a few pictures that remind me of nice times. This one was taken one year ago in Venice, after the very high tide and on the boards in front of Saint Mark...yes there is Junko @jyokota!
Oh, Caterina!!! I'm so glad you took a photo to remind us of a very special time together! That day holds so many memories for me -- it began with the draw to see an unusual weather situation that provided such interesting photo opps. But the day was so much more. The drive, the pastry and coffee shop ritual, the water flowing onto the walk way, the special apple jelly thing that Pier likes (and me, too!), the big day of walking around and being introduced to Venice through native eyes (at least one pair), and and and -- so many memories! I only posted a couple of photos of that day so I like your idea that during this time when we aren't out and about, we can go back and visit our previous photos. Stay tuned -- Italy photos coming up during the winter! So So So glad we had that extra November together since we missed our annual March time. And thanks for sharing this today. Hmm . . . I'm not holding my camera. I wonder if Pier was holding it for me so I wouldn't drop it in the water?
@darylo@haskar@pamknowler@jgpittenger -- hello! And thanks for the greetings here. I have been so fortunate to have met you all in person and am looking forward to seeing you again some day. @jamibann - hoping to meet you some day in person, too!
@caterina -- it's a good thing, because I tend to be clumsy and I blame it on my blind eye but in reality I'm just clumsy. There's this wonderful Japanese word, "o'chokochoi" that describes someone who is oblivious and clumsy at the same time. That's me.
@jamibann - hoping to meet you some day in person, too!
