Weight of the World on My Shoulder's

See previous days post if you want the story.

This guy was really passionate about what he felt was the way to fix the world. My heart went out to him.

Note to self ..... change camera back to it's normal settings after a night shoot :-) This is super noisy because I had a really high ISO from a previous shoot!
He looks too sad for words. Nice shot.

@sabanford Yes, he was very passionate about his cause, which had nothing really to do with wall street.

I like the noise here...really adds to the shot and fits his expression. Such an interesting story and what a great capture.

I really like the noise, too. It kind of adds reality to this shot. You captured his eyes beautifully. I really liked your background story as well and I cheered for you for talking to strangers and even taking their picture. I'm not brave enough to do that, yet.

@jannaellen Thank you so much Janna! It was A REAL stretch for me! But, once I got over my fear of approaching a stranger, it was easier than I would have thought!

Brilliant capture!

What a great portrait....the high ISO and grain actually work very well, gives it grittiness.
November 3rd, 2011
Beautiful portrait of him.

Gosh what an eye-catching shot... the grain and colour really make it effective. He looks almost biblical. Well done for being so brave and getting such a super shot - I'm sure often people just want to be heard and listened to

@robinwarner Robin, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. I've learned so much from your stream and this is a real compliment!!
November 3rd, 2011
@filsie65 Thanks Phil! I thought the same thing. He looks like he walked straight out of the Bible!
November 3rd, 2011
@scooter Thanks Scooter!

@mimigd Thanks Mimi, I also had the wrong AWB, so I had to fix that too, but that doesn't really matter as much with a B&W. I was so nervous, I new the settings were wrong, but I could figure out what to do. I don't work well under pressure:-)

I just want to echo what everyone has said - it's a fantastic photo - and a brilliant 'mistake' with the ISO setting! Another Fav :o)

Impressive and gripping shot !

Great street portrait, when I first looked I thought it was your processing but I think the high ISO only adds to this wonderful portrait!
November 4th, 2011
i like the effect that the night setting has on this image - it is very interesting and compelling.
November 4th, 2011
I think he looks very at peace with himself.
November 4th, 2011
fantastic street shot nan.....and the noise totally works here, adds to the grittyness of this character. oh, and his eyes, love them.....
November 4th, 2011
I agree - the noise adds the right amount of 'down & dirty' grit. Great lighting, compsition, and an inetestic subject. :)
November 4th, 2011
Love the 'noise' - it makes it more edgy and fit for his cause. Fav'd !
