A double exposure experiment by cdcook48

A double exposure experiment

Ordinarily I would combine images in Photoshop but, of course, for SOOC everything has to be done in camera. My Fuji has a dial setting for in-camera double exposures (my Sony probably does too but it would be buried so deep in their impenetrable menu system it would take me a week to find it) so I had a play this afternoon to see how it works. The exposures were mostly epic fails. Overexposed or underexposed, it was tough to get the balance. Then, when I got the exposure approximately right the images were jumbled messes. This one is the only one that was even remotely acceptable. I’m posting it because it is straight-out-of-camera and it is all I’ve got for that challenge today. What today’s experiment taught me; for combining two images stick to Photoshop.
I like how this turned out. I'm not saying photoshop is not doing better, but this is quite fine for an in camera double exposure.

This one did work out. There must be something you have learned to make a successful in camera multiple exposure.

Fav. I have not even a slight idea how you can do this. Your perseverance seems to have worked out well with this shot.
